My family has a story of how my father, Ron, and his mother, my Grandma Rose, would say good night to each other when he was stationed in Korea during the Korean War in the early 1950s. Each would look into the night sky to say good night. I was always told it was through constellation Orion. My father and mother had three children-me and my two brothers. We were referred to as the three stars in Orion, maybe his belt. Yesterday I was invited to a reunion of my best friend and her adult adoptee birth daughter. We took a walk after dark. Orion was well lit over the South Florida intracoastal. I was reminded of my family. It touched me. I had been thinking of my reunion a few years before with my adult adoptee birth son. It’s in the stars, a gift from the Creator of the stars. Good night, and good morning.
